The team of Ek Pahel B.R. Memorial Welfare Society worked in collaboration with the team of National Child Labour Project (NCLP) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment for the launch of a computer class at the ‘Special Training Centre’ in Karbala, Agra. The classed was launched on the occasion of International Labour Day on the 1st of May. NCLP, Agra designated Ek Pahel with the task of helping children who are forced to do labour work and are not receiving any education. The task entailed providing free education to these children and teaching them use of computers to bring them at par with the rest of the world. The team also hopes to inspire families to educate their children instead of forcing them to do labour work with this initiative. Mrs Pratibha Tiwari, Asst. Labour Commissioner of NCLP Agra was the chief guest for the event. A special shout out go to Mrs Soma Jain Jasoria and Mr Upesh Chandra (program managers at NCLP Agra) and Mr Zeeshan Ansari from the [.. program]for their contribution.
